Filter Rails

There are various accessories that are available for the Vortex that can slide into the front two accessory rails, for example a standard diffuser and a honeycomb grid. Accessories slide into the rail system and lock securely with unique lock and latch system.

Vortex8 and Vortex4

1. The filter rail slot has a unique locking mechanism that locks the initial filter in while allowing second filter to be inserted without unlocking.

2. Latch in unlock position.

3. Push top latch down to engage the lock.

4. Push gold button to release to unlock.

Vortex8 Soft, Vortex4 Soft, Vortex24 and Vortex2

1. Place the bottom side of the modifier into the filter rail so it protrudes out at the top, but feels secure and sturdy.

2. There are two tabs on each side of the fixture which make up the latching system. Pull those tabs upwards.

3. With both tabs pulled up, push the top of the modifier towards the face of the light so it slots into the corresponding filter rail.
