The display and keypad backlight can be turned off when receiving DMX.
Sometimes light spill from the back of the fixture can be a problem, for example in a dark studio. In CreamOS V2.5, there is the option to turn off the display (and all other LED lights on the control panel) for a completely dark fixture.
Under “Fixture Settings” menu there is an option “Display Always On”. This has the following actions:
- ENABLED (default): The display will always be on.
- DISABLED: The display will turn off 10 seconds after receiving valid DMX signal (wired or wireless), providing the unit is not currently displaying the menu screen or pop-up message box. Moving the encoder wheel or pressing any button will turn the display back on again. If DMX is lost, the display will also come back on (and stay on).
